Amazed - A note from the beginning of 2009 - A Provocation

We are all on a journey, and as one wise man used to say, “You are where you are.” Understanding the push and the pull of these simultaneous facts is of tantamount importance to your success this year. “Where are you?” “Where do you want to go?” Most people think that these are the only two questions, but there is another very pertinent question and that is “How would you like to travel?” And in that question there are many sub questions that begin to push all of the buttons that we have developed over the course of our lives. Yahshua challenges us over and over again. Where I am going – you can come, too. In My Father’s house there are many mansions. I go before you to prepare a place for you. And then He says something that rings in my spirit as I do all that I can to help people to achieve the fulfillment of their destinies through the gifts and the callings that have been bequeathed to them by YHUH and paid for by Yahshua. He says, “If it were not so, then I would have told you.” He confronts our doubts and fears at the very beginning, for we will never embark on a journey that we do not fully believe that we can complete.

You are where you are. You are who you are. Let me ask you. “Where are you?” Now let me ask you a different question. “Where does the bible say that you are?” “Who are you?” And in like manner, “Who does the Bible say that you are?” Answering these two questions from your perspective only will determine the answer to your second question. “Where do you want to go?” If you see only from your perspective the road signs will be very different, and your confidence toward arriving at your desired end will be limited to that perspective. Can I get there? Will I get there? Can I get there, from here? Do I need to go somewhere else before I start the journey? All of these questions will be tainted by past experiences, both successful and unsuccessful. And add to that the fact that the journey you may want to embark on may have been motivated by what you have seen others do, rather than what you really want to do, or really should be doing. Does this sound complicated? It should because it is a bit complicated and that is why the Bible teaches us to follow those that through faith and patience have achieved and received the promises. And keep in mind that a Bentley is not promised, neither are diamond studded teeth or country club memberships.

“What is promised?” Now, you are on the right track. This is the research project that you should embark on. What has Yahu’ah promised? I hope that you are noticing that I am not answering these questions for you. I can’t tell you where you are. I cannot tell you where you are going. And, I cannot tell you how you should go. However, I can tell you that you need to know where you are and that you should not be satisfied with where you are. I also can tell you that you should not embark on any journey or project without getting Yah’s perspective and understanding whether or not He has promised to go with you on your journey and insure that you reach your desired end.

Are you ready? I am going to give you some tools. On every journey you need tools, physical, mental, emotional, social and financial, that is if your journey is only in this earthly realm. But for those of us, who travel between heaven and earth, we need spiritual tools, as well. Are you one of those? If you are, then we are getting somewhere and we are going somewhere. Ha le lu Yah.

Where are you – spiritually? Answer the question right now – from your perspective. After you have completed that – hit the scriptures and find five scriptures that tell you where you are. (If you want help, then you can email me and I will help you. You should be able to find out where Yah says that you are in the Scriptures, but I am willing to help you.)

Where are you – physically? You may be in Brooklyn – in a house – on a certain street. And you may be in shape or out of shape. You may be energetic or tired. Answer the question from your perspective and then go to the scriptures for they will tell you where you are physically. (I am not going to do your homework, but you can email me and I will help you, for I am one of those who has achieved and received the promises that are in His word, for me, and for you. You are safe to follow the path that I have learned and the path that I have traveled, now, for over two decades.)

Where are you – mentally? Are you aware that you can be one place physically, and quite another place mentally? In fact, this is indeed the problem we have more often than not. We are, for the most part, never where we actually are. We are always someplace else, when we need to be where we are. Are you where you are? Are you longing to be elsewhere? For most of us, the answer to the first question “Are we where we are?” is no and the answer to the second question, “Are we longing to be elsewhere?” is a resounding, Yes and Amen. And I will tell you this, the key to getting to where you long to be is being where you are, right now. (There is therefore, now, no condemnation for those of us who are in, right now, Moschiach Yahshua, who walk not after the flesh, but strive for the spirit – right now.) Will you be where you are, now? Will you be honest enough to admit that you are where you are? If you will, then we can get you to where you want to go. This is the crux of the understanding that all people must confront. You are at the crossroads. You are at the painful point. You are at the point of decision. And…. You are at the point of victory, if you choose wisely, and choosing wisely simply means that you choose to get Yah’s perspective.

Where are you – emotionally? Are you happy or sad? Are you passionate or are you numb? Be aware of the fact that if you have already done the work – spiritually, physically and mentally that you would be happier and more passionate. If you have passively read this letter and are going through it with no intention of doing it, then you are sadder and number than you would be had you done the things that you could have already done. So, stop. Now go and do what you have already been instructed to do. And come back happier and more passionate for there is more. Your emotional state is up to you. And spiritual, physical and mental well-being determine your emotional state, so, with that said, need I say more? Frankly, your emotional state is not a starting point. It is, rather, a result of your purposed obedience to the instructions that you have received thus far. Obey and you will be happy and passionate. Disobey and be sad and numb. Emotions are reactions. They are not pro-active. They are simply a reading on your level of obedience. If you are sad and/or numb, then you have been disobedient. If you are happy and passionate, then, you have been obedient.

How are you – socially? Answer this question for yourself from your perspective. Do you have the relationships that you feel are fully maximized? Are you satisfied with your spousal relationship? How are you doing with your parents? Are your children talking to you, and do they come to you for counsel? Let’s go to another level, now. Do you have the influence in your community that you desire? Do you have the influence in your city, your nation, that you desire?

Many of you are backing away from me at this point. I am not surprised. You are backing away because you don’t know how powerful and how influential you really are. I am not that ignorant. I know who you are and I know where you are, from His perspective. That is why I write to you, month after month, year after year. True pastors, yea apostles, are provocateurs. We provoke you to exploits. We provoke you to climb mountains and to achieve the impossible. This is what we are and what we are called to do. And this is what I am doing in this letter, this holy epistle.

Let me remind you of your most important relationship. Yahshua is your most important relationship. He is the Word. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. He is the Music and He is the Poetry. He is the Words and the Harmony. He is. Without Him, you can do nothing of import. With Him, you can do all things. He is all that you need. He is the principle and the principal. He is capital and capitol. He is. And because He is, you are.

And, as you consider your life socially, remember the Ten Commandments. Visit the biblical books of Exodus and Deuteronomy on this issue. You are to consider Yah first and have no one before Him, and you are to honor your father and your mother. Once you do these things you will be properly aligned to pursue your place in society.

Finally, where are you – financially? Before you start the assessment of your savings accounts, your portfolios and your retirement accounts, let me remind you of His perspective. He says, “all of your need is met, according to His riches in glory.” As we arrive at the financial part of this, please take note, that this is the last part of the assessment. Where are you? Where do you want to go? How do you want to get there? Do you have a plan? Do you need help with that plan? The financial part of this is the last part, because it is a result of good decisions that you have made in the earlier part of the journey – spirit, body, mind, emotion, relationship. Where are you? Where do you want to go? Do you want help? The answer to every question is a person, a referral. You are called to greatness, but you cannot do it alone. This is true for every person, for this is the plan. We need each other and financial prosperity is based in honoring relationships.

As you ponder your financial wherewithal, let me remind you. You are the head and not the tail. You are His child and you have access to the Creator. He is not just the Creator of the Universe. He is the Creator of ALL. All that is, is, because of Him. He is . And, because He is, you are. Therefore, I say to you – be optimistic and be confident that what He has begun, He will finish. Be of good cheer. Fear not. He is with you at all times and He will never forsake you, and neither will the true believers that He has called to walk with you.

Follow those that follow Yahshua. Follow me. We are going somewhere cooler than cool. Ha le lu Yah. (Heh, Lamed, Lamed Vav, Yah Heh) Selah.
