Who We Are

Our Story, Our People

Born at the World Trade Center in 1993, Faith Exchange has grown from a simple letter about faith into a living, breathing church community — reaching New York and the world.

How It Began

A Letter That Started a Church

In 1993, Pastor Dan Stratton was a Yale-educated commodities trader working in Building 4 of the World Trade Center. When colleagues began asking him about his faith, he wrote a letter. That letter went to a handful of people — then hundreds, then over a thousand.

That letter became a weekly Bible study. That Bible study became Faith Exchange — a church rooted in the heart of New York City. When 9/11 destroyed the church's original home at the World Trade Center, the congregation was displaced but not defeated. Faith Exchange was rebuilt — a testament to the community's resilience and calling.

Today, from its home at 95 Leonard Street in Tribeca, Faith Exchange broadcasts every Sunday and Wednesday to viewers around the world, ministers to prisoners in Mississippi, and equips disciples through the My Deeper Life program. What started as a letter is now a global ministry.

Pastor Dan Stratton

Founding Senior Pastor · Faith Exchange NYC

Pastor Daniel J. Stratton is a Yale University graduate who spent his early career as a commodities trader in New York City. Working in the World Trade Center in 1993, he began answering colleagues' questions about his faith — and what started as a simple letter quickly grew into a thriving Bible study, and then into Faith Exchange.

Known as "The Wall Street Preacher," Pastor Dan brings a rare combination of intellectual rigor and passionate faith to every message. His teaching is rooted in the Hebrew name of God — YHWH — and in calling believers to live out authentic, transformative relationship with their Heavenly Father.

After 9/11 destroyed the church's home, Pastor Dan led the congregation through rebuilding — spiritually and physically. Today he continues to preach every Sunday, minister at prisons in Mississippi, lead the My Deeper Life discipleship community on Facebook, and connect business leaders through the Faith Exchange Network.

He is the author of Very Few Fathers, The Listener's Legacy, My Deeper Life Tool Book, and several forthcoming titles.

"We are all called to do something great. But none of us can do it alone."

Where We Serve

Our Ministries

Faith that stays inside is faith that shrinks. We serve locally and globally — in prisons, online, and in the marketplace.

Prison Ministry

Parchman Prison & Jackson, Mississippi

Pastor Dan ministers regularly at Parchman Farm — one of America's oldest and most notorious prisons — and at a facility in Jackson, Mississippi. These visits are not performances or programs: they are pastoral encounters, bringing the genuine presence of Christ into places where hope is rare.

The prison ministry is grounded in the belief that every soul is worthy of redemption, regardless of what they've done. Inmates report profound life change — not just during services, but in the months and years that follow. Letters and testimonies pour in from men whose lives have been fundamentally redirected by these encounters with the living God.

Faith Exchange is always looking for partners and volunteers who want to support this work — through prayer, financial giving, or direct involvement.

Faith Exchange Network

Monthly FEN Zoom Calls

The Faith Exchange Network (FEN) is a monthly gathering on Zoom for believers in business — entrepreneurs, executives, professionals, and marketplace leaders who are committed to financing the harvest of the Kingdom through their local churches.

FEN calls are part of the broader ProVision Network vision: raising up a generation of business people who see their work not as separate from their faith, but as the primary vehicle through which they fund and advance the Kingdom of God.

The calls combine teaching, testimony, and networking — creating a community of like-minded believers who are using their resources and influence for eternal impact. If you are in business and want your work to mean more than money, FEN is for you.
